Today, Gov. Brad Little vetoed Senate Bill 1023, the Medical Freedom Act. The act would not only have ensured that Idahoans maintain autonomy over their healthcare decisions, free from government or corporate overreach, and enshrined vital medical rights, but would also have prohibited vaccine mandates from ever occurring again. This bill garnered significant support among advocates of personal liberty.
In response, Idaho Freedom Foundation (IFF) and Idaho Freedom Action (IFA) President Ronald M. Nate had this to say:
"Governor Little shows, once again, how out of touch he is with Idaho families. After kowtowing to Big Medical special interests during the COVID pandemic, we are not particularly surprised by his decision. However, we at the IFF and IFA know Idaho should be a beacon for freedom in all parts of our lives, including and especially medical freedom. It's clear our governor does not share our state's values, only the values of the highest bidder."
President Nate concluded with a call to action:
"It’s time for the Legislature to stand up against medical tyranny and do what’s right for the people of Idaho: OVERRIDE LITTLE’S VETO!!"

Overriding the veto would not have been necessary if Little had done the right thing from the start, obviously. He has shown himself to be the worst sort of RINO and in mine and an increasing number of Idahoans minds needs to be voted out of office...and the sooner the better. I have zero respect for the man.
My hope at this point is that someone (Dr. Ryan Cole comes to mind.) will primary Little and we can begin repairing the damage that has been done by Little in his time in office. His lackey, the current Lieutenant Governor, is no better, and may be worse. I've seen it inferred that Bedke is the "heir apparent" to the office of governor should he run for office. That would be the worst possible scenario...four more years of someone even worse than Little?
The exposure of Little's methods of deception of well-meaning Idaho voters in order to gain their vote during election campaigns as well as reminding them of the many promises he's made and not kept should, in my opinion, be at the forefront of anyone who actually loves our state and wants to work towards making it the freest state we can. I say...VOTE LITTLE OUT
