Analyst Note: House Bill 352 is similar to House Bill 292 introduced earlier this session, which has now been divided into two separate bills.
Does it promote the breakdown of the traditional family or the deconstruction of societal norms? Examples include promoting or incentivizing degeneracy, violating parental rights, and compromising the innocence of children. Conversely, does it protect or uphold the structure, tenets, and traditional values of Western society?
House Bill 352 would promote traditional Western values by requiring school districts “to adopt procedures and policies that prohibit classroom instruction by public school personnel on sexual orientation or gender identity from kindergarten through grade 12 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards.” In doing so, HB 352 will help purge radical gender ideology from our K-12 public education system and reaffirm the primacy of traditional family values in the state of Idaho.
