Senate Bill 1030 — Attorney license fees (-1)

Senate Bill 1030 — Attorney license fees (-1)

Bill Description: Senate Bill 1030 would increase attorney license fees.

Rating: -1

Does it directly or indirectly create or increase any taxes, fees, or other assessments? Conversely, does it eliminate or reduce any taxes, fees, or other assessments?

Senate Bill 1030 would amend Section 3-409, Idaho Code, to increase the license fees that all attorneys must pay to the Idaho state bar by approximately 14%.

Government-imposed licensing mandates and their associated fees disrupt the free market, infringe on freedom of association, and impose costs on providers of goods and services that are inevitably passed on to consumers.
