House Bill 572 amends Section 39-7114A, Idaho Code, to say that the state's military division may provide "direct financial support" to the Idaho wing of civil air patrol, in addition to in-kind services.
Existing law calls for the military division to provide in-kind support such as land use, hangar facilities, mess and billeting facilities, and office space. House Bill 572 adds "travel, and participation fees for attendance at educational and training opportunities sponsored by civil air patrol."
The bill adds new language detailing how appropriations for the Idaho wing of civil air patrol should be handled, and the bill's fiscal note says a $50,000 appropriation will be forthcoming.
It goes on to give new guidance for "missions assigned to the Idaho wing of civil air patrol by the Idaho office of emergency management."
