Vodka banned for name seen as offensive in Idaho

Vodka banned for name seen as offensive in Idaho

Five Wives Vodka will not be allowed to be sold in the Gem State after liquor dispensary officials ruled it is too offensive to Mormons, who make up around 25 percent of the state.

But, according to a story in the Idaho Statesman, Utah, which is dominated by Mormons, is allowing the sale of the liquor.

The company that makes the vodka, Ogden's Own Distillery, is trying to take advantage of Idaho's nanny attitude, though, making "Free the Five Wives" shirts.
