Bill Description: Senate Bill 1271 would repeal 5 sections of Idaho code and associated IDAPA rules related to the "Idaho Global Entrepreneurial Mission."

Senate Bill 1271 would repeal sections 67-4725, 67-4726, 67-4729, 67-4730, and 67-4731, Idaho Code, and declare that "the rules contained in IDAPA 28.02.03.250, relating to Department of Commerce Grant Program Rules, the Idaho Global Entrepreneurial Mission (IGEM) Grant Program, shall be null, void, and of no force and effect."

According to the fiscal note for Senate Bill 1271, repealing the Idaho Global Entrepreneurial Mission "will have a yearly savings on the state general fund of $1,000,000 from the Idaho Department of Commerce budget."
