Senate Bill 1101

Senate Bill 1101

by
Phil Haunschild
February 17, 2017

Bill description: This bill sets a limit on the fee that can be charged for domestic or stock watering rights.

Rating: +1

Does it directly or indirectly create or increase any taxes, fees, or other assessments? Conversely, does it eliminate or reduce any taxes, fees, or other assessments?

This bill sets a limit of $25 for each claim and a limit of four claims the state may charge a fee for domestic or stock watering rights. Under current law, there is no limit to the total fee if multiple claims are filed. Setting these limits would save Idaho citizens $265,000 annually. (+1)
