Sen. John McGee, R-Caldwell, will keep his spot as caucus chairman after senators met behind closed doors on Wednesday to decide his fate stemming from an incident over the summer.

The incident in question was McGee's DUI arrest last year. McGee has apologized repeatedly, saying he does not remember much of the night in question because he blacked out.
