A north Idaho woman has admitted she is the mystery blogger who wrote on a Spokesman-Review site that another north Idaho woman may have stolen money from the local Republican Party, according to a story in the Coeur d"Alene Press. The accused woman is considering a defamation suit.

The woman accused of the theft, Tina Jacobson, took the paper to court demanding the name of the blogger and two supporting bloggers. A north Idaho court ruled the newspaper must cooperate in helping to identify the unknown blogger. The newspaper debated about whether to appeal the judge's ruling, but decided it could not win and agreed to cooperate. But that is now a moot point since the blogger, Linda Cook, has identified herself.
