Nampa could raise taxes to pay for EPA mandate

Nampa could raise taxes to pay for EPA mandate

Earlier this year, the Nampa City Council repealed a $3 fee for Nampa residents that would pay for the city's stormwater runoff program. The stormwater runoff mandate comes from the EPA.

Now, the city may raise property taxes to cover the cost of the program, according to a story in the Idaho Press-Tribune. Property tax levies could go up as much as 6 percent.
