America’s colleges and universities spent the last 50 years advancing so-called diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and Idaho’s colleges and universities were not immune to this leftist takeover. Collectively, Idaho’s higher education system spent more than $4.4 million on diversity, equity, and inclusion offices, personnel, and programs. The institutions even doubled down on these initiatives after the Legislature cut their budgets and imposed restrictions on the advancement of DEI on campus. Without real, permanent policy solutions, DEI will continue to destroy higher education in Idaho.
