House Bill 95 would amend Section 25-2703, Idaho Code, which is the definitions section for Idaho's commercial feed law. Subsection 3(f) says that "Animal remedies when not adulterated within the meaning of section 25-2707, Idaho Code" are not defined as commercial feed. [Section 25-2707, Idaho Code, is schedule II of Idaho's controlled substances law.]

House Bill 95 would add the clarification that "Animal remedies for pets, specialty pets, and equines that include ingredients from industrial hemp as defined in section 22-1703, Idaho Code, and as defined in section 37-2705(d)(27), Idaho Code, are not considered adulterated."

This change should prevent anyone from incorrectly characterizing animal remedies that include ingredients derived from industrial hemp.
