The Office Manager is the nucleus of the foundation and the heart of the team. The ability to wear multiple hats, be organized and detailed, make sure the day-to-day operations run smoothly and seamlessly while assisting other staff members with a variety of tasks is what is required for this position.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage the telephone and mail communications, both internally and externally while maintaining a professional image of the foundation
  • Coordinate the production of brochures, flyers, invitations, house mailings, and other documents with the communication director
  • Process mail through the USPS Business Gateway and drop off bulk mail to the BMEU
  • Prepare documents for board meetings, trainings, and special events
  • Prepare staff meeting agendas
  • Assist with securing locations for conferences, trainings, and other meetings
  • Order supplies, stamps, paper, and office equipment
  • Act as a liaison with outside vendors, while representing the foundation in a positive manner
  • Oversee projects, the use of the project management program, Asana, and ensure deadlines are met
  • Work with the assistant to the president on various projects, meetings, travel and grant reports
  • Collaborate with staff to execute events seamlessly and successfully
  • Update the foundation’s fundraising software with incoming donations, new donors, and communications from donors
  • Send out letters, emails and general communications on behalf of the foundation
  • Process invoices & expenses, and work closely with the CPA
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and events on multiple calendars

Qualifications & Requirements:

To be considered for the position the following qualifications and skills are required:

3+ years of office experience; to include, office organization, business administration, office systems, and procedures, working knowledge of office equipment and software programs.

High School diploma or higher

Strong computer knowledge & skills

Communication skills: must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

Attention to detail: must be focused, observant, thorough, organized and efficient

Time management skills: must be able to prioritize, set goals, and keep deadlines

Analytical thinking: the ability to use critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Must adhere to the highest ethical standards. Candidate must demonstrate empathetic disposition and perseverance, have an optimistic and positive attitude, and convey sensitivity to needs of donors

Must be willing to work independently and in groups. Must be accountable to him/herself and to others based on ability, reliability, and attitude

Must be passionate about the Idaho Freedom Foundation and its principles, including the benefit of economic opportunity through free markets, strategies that lower tax and regulatory burden, and the benefit of a marketplace with limited government interference

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiar with major donors and figures in the free market movement
