March 8, 2017

Rating: +1

Does it in any way restrict public access to information related to government activity or otherwise compromise government transparency or accountability? Conversely, does it increase public access to information related to government activity or increase government transparency or accountability?

The Idaho Supreme Court has the authority under Idaho Code 1-1624 to seize tax refunds or credits of individuals who owe delinquent debts to the Court. This bill would require the court to approve an agreement to pay these debts or issue a court order and to notify individuals it has the authority to seize tax refunds or credits as a remedy. It also stipulates a delinquent debt cannot include additional fees or charges greater than the original agreement.
