The Idaho Department of Correction (IDOC) announced several internal moves that will lead to three correctional facilities having new wardens.  Jim Woolf will be the new warden of Pocatello Women’s Correction Center (PWCC), Randy Blades will be the warden at Idaho Maximum Security Institution (IMSI) south of Boise, and Terressa Baldridge will replace Blades as warden at South Idaho Correction Institution (SICI), also south of Boise.

Woolf replaces Brian Underwood, who will become Idaho’s U.S. marshal.  He will still serve as the deputy chief of IDOC’s prisons division.  In that role, Woolf also oversees the South Boise Women’s Correctional Center, St. Anthony’s Work Camp, and IDOC Vocational Projects across the state.  He said in a corrections department news release that he’s excited to work with the staff in Pocatello and Boise.  “They are all dedicated correctional professionals who are committed to their mission of keeping the people of Idaho safe,” he said.

Blades’ move to IMSI comes as current warden Jeff Zmuda works solely as deputy chief for the department.  Zmuda had served as both a warden and a deputy chief.
