Judge orders ed reform proponents to disclose donor list

Secretary of State Ben Ysursa is a step closer to forcing Education Voters of Idaho (EVI) to disclose its donor list, according to an Associated Press story in the Idaho Press-Tribune.

Judge Mike Wetherell ruled Monday in 4th District Court that EVI must abide by the intent of the state's Sunshine law by disclosing its donor list. EVI maintains it is a federally recognized nonprofit group under no obligation to release the list and that Ysursa singled out EVI as opposed to other interest groups lobbying on the education reform measures.

An attorney for EVI said it would appeal the ruling to the Idaho Supreme Court.
