Idahoans will once again have a state suicide hotline

Idahoans will once again have a state suicide hotline

by

November 6, 2012

According to the director of the soon-to-be Idaho suicide hotline, the state has one of the higher suicide rates in the nation, but for the past five years residents have had to call a center in Portland, Ore., for assistance. That will soon change when the state reopens a suicide hotline.

Funding to resurrect the hotline came from state money, agency funds and a grant from United Way of Treasure Valley.
