According to an Associated Press story in the Idaho Statesman, originally published in the Twin Falls Times-News, a Declo fourth-grade teacher faces possible disciplinary action from her district and the state.

At issue is her allowing students to mark the faces with a marker of classmates who fell short in meeting reading goals.

The story says the teacher will face scrutiny from┬áthe Idaho State Department of Education’s Professional Standards Commission, which certifies teachers. The commission has the authority to suspend or revoke teacher licenses.
