Couple from Priest Lake, Idaho, takes on the EPA

On Monday, justices from the United States Supreme Court will hear a case involving Mike and Chantell Sackett regarding property in Priest Lake, Idaho.

In 2005, the Sacketts purchased property in a subdivision hoping to build their dream home. Not long after, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) notified the Sacketts that their property rested on wetlands and threatened legal action, including fines.

Lower courts have ruled the Sacketts have no recourse against the EPA.

Damien Schiff from the Pacific Legal Foundation will be arguing the case Monday, and recently spoke about the issue.
